The Sensorimotor Rhythm Training System relates to human self-observation, self-regulation and the exercising of mental and motor activities while reacting to events in a virtual world, and the recording of changes in the mental state of a person in real time.
The system finds application in improving the fine motor skills, precision and speed of motor operations of professionals in the fields of surgery, firefighting, transport, law enforcement, crafts and other human activities.
It comprises a personal computer with an integrated data-acquisition module for training purposes, connected through peripheral devices (keyboard & mouse) to a brain-activity measuring device, a module for displaying the mental state and the gaming environment, and through a computer network to a central server and the personal computers of other trainees in a shared virtual world.
